Listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange (since 24th March 2008), Alshamel International Holding Company has capital in excess of KD 6 million (US$20 million) with combined annual sales of more than US$ 450 million (2009). We are the largest travel services provider in Kuwait, in addition to being the largest travel contractor to the U.S. military through our CWT-SatoTravel affiliation. Across the region our business volume accounts for around 5% of the total travel market.

We are completely invested in aviation, tourism and travel with no investment outside of these industry sectors and have a proven track record of ‘managing change’ and streamlining processes in all aspects of travel industry services.
We are proud of the fact that over the last decade Alshamel has become s the fastest growing Travel Management Company in the Middle East. Our network expansion is a strategic move to grow Alshamel as a truly regional player, the first one of its kind in the region. Alshamel is currently the market leader in Kuwait and has fully owned offices in United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, KSA and Oman, recording a sale of USD 440M in the year 2009. The company is currently undergoing an aggressive reorganization of its network, and a technology expansion project.

Three Business Divisions
The company is made up of three core divisions: Corporate Travel Management, Travel Distribution and Leisure Travel.
Under the Corporate Travel Management umbrella, we are a partner of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, the world’s number one Business Travel Company and CWT-SatoTravel, the world’s largest travel services provider to US Government. The division’s principal objective is to plan and manage corporate travel helping clients realize effective business meetings, special events, as well as group travel programs focused at all times on Service, Security, Sustainability and, most importantly, Savings.
Our Leisure Travel Division comprises a thriving Retail and Corporate Leisure team with expertise in packaging vacations, hotels and tours. We cater to a full spectrum of individual travel needs from budget travel to VIP luxury vacations and have a global network of partners to ensure that wherever you travel in the world, Alshamel can assure you the perfect stay.
Under the Distribution Division, we focus on managing and marketing some of the leading Global travel brands in the Middle East region. As GSA (General Sales Agent) we currently represent Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines across our regional network as well as representing Radisson Blu Hotels and SOTC tours in Kuwait.
