Blue Bark: An internal transportation code that identifies the movement of a deceased military member. It is often used to identify the movement of dependents of a deceased military person.

charge the account.

Circitous Travel: Self procured travel to any destination, at any cost.
COE: Army Corps of Engineers
Concurrent Travel: Dependents of a military member, or DOD civilian, are authorized to travel to an overseas duty station (PCS travel) at the same time.
Contractors: Personnel who are under contract to the government but are not DOD civilian employees.
Contract Fare: All _CA fares
The contract fare is a fare that is negotiated between the United States
government and the airline industry.
CONUS: Continential United States
Defined as the 48 contiguous States of America. Does not include Alaska
and Hawaii.
COR: Contracting Officer Reprensentative
A person on the USAREUR Transportation staff that is appointed oversight
of SatoTravel in the performance of duties throughout USAREUR. COR works for
both the Director of Transportation and the Contracting Officer.
COT: Consecutive Oversea Tour
Type of leave awarded to a member who extends their tour of duty at an
overseas duty station or who will be spending an additional tour of duty at
another oversea duty station.
CTO: Commercial Travel Office (SatoTravel)
DA: Department of the Army
Dependent: Military family members and children. There are cases where grandchildren, parents-in-law and others also meet the definition of dependents. For travel purposes, all dependents must be listed on the travel order.
DEROS: Date Estimate Return from Overseas
Every military member has a DEROS. It is the month that the military
member must make a PCS movement. A DEROS is established when a member is
assigned from the United States to an oversea area. DEROS may be changed if
the member extends in the oversea area.
Direct Route: Routing that does not require the government to pay additional travel per diem costs and does not require the government to pay additional transportation costs.

IPCOT: In Place Consecutive Overseas Tour
Type of leave awarded to a member who spends an additional tour of duty

ITO: Installation Transporation Officer
A person who has been appointed and has responsibility to ensure the
movement of all duty personnel from a specific based to their required
destination. ITO's work directlyy for the Directors of Logistic (DOL).
ITT: Information Tour and Travel

The Regulation that defines all travel entitlements and applies to
military personnel and military dependents only.

In military, a MFR often proves invaluable, when at a later date a
traveler accuses us of doing or not doing something. It is recommended that
you get in the habit of preparing a handwrittnn MFR on any travel that you
feel might be questioned at a later date.

Any location that is not located within the 48 contiguous states. It
includes Alaska, Hawaii and other trust territories.
PAC: Personnel Action Center
Personnel office that controls all actions required of PCS personel.
PCS: Permanent Change of Station
Military amd DOD civilian personnel are required to perform duties at an
oversea duty station for a specific period of thme. At the conclusion of
this period of time, they will be provided travel orders from their duty
station to a new duty station somewhere else in the world.
PCSO: Permanent Change of Station Orders
PDS: Permanent Duty Station
The place in which a military member, or DOD civilian, perform duty.
Permissive TDY: This is unfunded travel and allows a military member to be away from his duty station for a specific reason, such as a religious retreat, or to participate in a volunteer program. Since there are no funds involved, he would have little reason to visit us, except to buy a leisure ticket.
PLEAD: Place last entered active duty.
PNR: Passenger Name Record
POC: Point of Contact
POH: Place of Hire
The place in which a DOD civilian was hired.
Port Call: The day the member will travel from the old duty station to the new duty station.
POV: Private Owned Vehicle

Reserves: Military personnel who are called to active duty for a specified period of time.
Rotation Date: The day when the member will travel from the old duty station back to the United States.

Team Integrity: Refers to travel of a team who is going TDY. The military services try to maintain "team integrity" which means they travel together on the same airplane, or other modes of travel.
Travel Window; Established travel dates for duty travelers when determining AMC utilization in order to maximize the use of AMC airlift.
